I bought 3 strings for my gutters this year to replace the regular bullet pixels I had in years past. After a month and a half of use they are still all working perfectly. When I was picking these out I was worried about the shape of the base and using clips on them. It was not a problem and I ended up using the flat bottom for mounting. I bought some j channel at the hardware store and cut it to lengths to fit on my gutter. Since I don't have gutter guards it slips right on the front lip and stays in place. I used 3m VHB tape to tape the flat bottom of the base to the j channel so they point up. I needed to clean the j channel and pixel base with rubbing alcohol to get a good bond. I will be buying more of these to expand my lighting next year,
